Who we are, why we started, and the people behind vidya.
Why we started
Too many children in our city go to school every day and still can't read a paragraph or do simple sums by Class 5. Classrooms are crowded, parents work long hours, and a single bad year is often enough for a child to drop out.
vidya began with one evening class in a community hall. Today our learning centres, digital labs and scholarships reach thousands of children across our state, and the idea is still the same: give every child an adult who believes in them and a place to learn that works.

Will I get a receipt?
Yes. Every gift gets a numbered receipt, sent by email or WhatsApp. If your gift qualifies for an income-tax deduction, the receipt says so.
How do I get my Form 10BE?
We report every deductible gift to the Income Tax Department after the financial year ends. You can then download Form 10BE from the income-tax portal, or ask us for a copy.
Can I visit a learning centre?
We would love that. Write to us and we will arrange a visit on a weekday afternoon.
Do you work with companies on CSR?
Yes. We are registered for CSR (Form CSR-1) and share a project proposal, budget and quarterly reports with every partner.
